Swimming Attendant Wanted for Byske Outdoor Pool and Vitbergsbadet

The summer at the pool is full of activity, and as a swimming attendant, you ensure that everything runs smoothly. You make sure it is safe, clean, and that everyone has a secure and enjoyable day by the pool. This is a job for those who enjoy responsibility, people, and being where the action is.

YOUR ROLE

As a swimming attendant, you are an essential part of our guests' experience – both in and out of the pool. Your mission is to create safety, maintain order, and provide excellent service to all visitors. You will be responsible for monitoring pools, water purification, cleaning, cashier duties, and various service tasks. The work involves being attentive, taking responsibility, and collaborating with colleagues. You need to be able to read situations, act quickly when something happens, and contribute to a positive atmosphere around the pool.

With us, you will work outdoors, stay active all day, and become part of a team that makes a difference for hundreds of guests every day. The summer job period for Byske outdoor pool and Vitbergsbadet is from June 13 to August 16.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

To work as a swimming attendant, you need to:

• be at least 18 years old by June 13, 2026
• have good swimming skills and feel comfortable in the water (tested through a swimming test)
• have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• have basic knowledge of English, so you can understand and provide information
• have sufficient physical ability to swim, run, and lift as needed

It is an advantage if you have training in CPR and/or first aid. It is also beneficial if you have experience in similar work or other service professions – for example, in cafes, tourism, recreational activities, or working with children and youth.

In the role of swimming attendant, you need to maintain focus and remain calm even when there is a lot happening. You meet many people every day – families with children, young people, and colleagues – and your ability to listen, show respect, and treat everyone with patience and kindness makes a significant difference. When something does not go as planned, you take initiative and find solutions. You contribute to a safe collaboration within the team and are someone others feel they can trust.

Byske outdoor pool and Vitbergsbadet are two of Skellefteå's most appreciated summer gems.

• Byske outdoor pool is adjacent to the 5-star camping facility Byske Havsbad and features a 25-meter pool, children's pool, and two water slides – Turbo and Kamikaze.
• Vitbergsbadet is located at Skellefteå Camping and offers a wave machine, water slides, children's pool, as well as warm water and hot tubs.

You will become part of a dedicated team that helps and supports each other. We place great importance on collaboration, safety, and good hospitality. Working hours are scheduled over all days of the week.
